Animal Trip

The trip to see the animals starts at the top station of the Svatý Petr cable car, so first you have to take the cable car up to Pláně. You will receive a map with your cable car ticket from Svatý Petr to Pláně, so that you know which animals to look out for around you.

The Krkonoše National Park Administration has built a project on this nature trail to introduce tourists to the animals of the Krkonoše Mountains in the form of beautiful, life-size, hand-carved wooden animal sculptures. All the sculptures are made of oak wood and you will find deer, fox, hare, squirrel, grouse, magpie, marten, raven, woodcock, woodcock, viper and many others.

Along the way, you will look out for the animals and enjoy the views of the panoramas of the Krkonoše Mountains. From Plání you will go to the crossroads U Krásná pláně and follow the yellow trail to the crossroads near Hromovka. From the point above the Labská Dam you will see the Goat Ridges, you will have a view of Medvědín and the surroundings of Špindlerův Mlýn. You will then descend to the lower station of the St. Peter - Pláň cable car to Špindlerův Mlýn.

The trail is suitable for cyclists, but you can also take it on a scooter, with a stroller or on foot. The whole route is really easy, suitable even with small children who will be thrilled to learn something new.
