Depending on the season and the amount of water, it is up to 162 meters high. The cascades of the Pančava Waterfall have four main steps, which have a height of 36 m, 39 m, 23 m and 20 m. The Elbe Waterfall is located 200 m from Labská bouda and a kilometer from the source of the Elbe below Labská bouda. The Elbe waterfall falls from a height of 30 meters into the Elbe gorge and then the Elbe pushes over a 200 m long section of rocky rapids through the Elbe mine, creating unique meanders on the way through the Elbe valley to Špindlerův Mlýn. Above the waterfall at the overflow edge, there is still a viewing footbridge for tourists, from which you can see several nice cascades above the main waterfall. The Elbe Waterfall is often added to the rapid above the lookout - the total height of the waterfall is 35 m.

It is a popular stop for tourists heading to the source of the Elbe. Hotel Labská bouda is located in the first zone of the Giant Mountains National Park. It is situated at an altitude of 1340 m on the Elbe meadow northwest of Špindlerův Mlýn, less than 1 km from the source of the Elbe. The modern building from 1975 bears the same name as the inn, which burned down in 1965. However, the history of this place dates back to 1830, when an enterprising woman allegedly sold goat products and spirits to passers-by and had a small booth made of stones, bark and brushwood.
