Medvědí bouda

Medvědí Bouda is located 4.5 km above Špindlerův Mlýn at an altitude of 1060 m in a beautiful area called Sedmidolí. The distance from the centre of the town is 4.5 kilometres, so it is suitable for both summer and winter recreation. For guests there is a possibility of free parking in summer directly at the lodge, in winter at the reserved parking lot in Medvědí kolen. Of course, luggage and people can be transported from Bear's Knee to the lodge and back (the service is charged).

It offers accommodation for less demanding guests in cosy, but not luxurious rooms. The rooms are mostly without private bathrooms, they have only a corner with a sink, mirror and locker. In 6 rooms, private bathroom facilities have already been set up, for the other rooms there are showers and toilets on the floors. All sanitary facilities and rooms are newly renovated. The lodge provides shelter for up to 145 guests.

The restaurant, which is located on the ground floor of the building, offers honest homemade Old Bohemian or Krkonoše cuisine, basically according to original recipes, and therefore without any chemicals and substitutes. In addition to good Krkonoše food, it offers honest unpasteurized purely Czech beer Krakonoš from the brewery in Trutnov, founded in 1582. The accommodation offers guests a rich breakfast (buffet), half board or full board.

The lodge has its own 160 m long ski lift, trampoline, table tennis, playground, sports field for ball games. In the summer there is also a fireplace, guitar and tee-pee with overnight accommodation.

An integral part of the lodge is a ski room, a boot room and a lounge.

The Bear Lodge is an ideal place for outdoor schools.
