Route description
From Špindlerův Mlýn, you climb up to the yellow tourist trail and follow the Dřevařské cesta towards the White Elbe Lodge. The White Elbe Shed is the first ideal place for a short stop and refreshment.
From the White Elbe Shed you continue along the blue hiking trail along the Weber Trail, through the valley of the White Elbe. Some sections can be challenging and hidden dangers demand your full attention. Continue along the White Elbe River on the blue hiking trail until the Luční bouda gradually appears in front of you, offering not only refreshments but also breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. There is nothing better than to take a break, gather your strength and admire the beauty that surrounds you.
From the Luční bouda, follow the red-marked Old Buchar Trail to the grouse trough. This part of the route is known for its steep terrain and breakaway zone, so it is extremely important to be cautious. Every step requires attention, but you won't get discouraged.
After leaving the couloir, you continue along the Buchach Trail to the St. Peter Valley, where your route ends.
This challenging route is the perfect choice for experienced ski mountaineers who want to explore the beauty of the Giant Mountains in winter.
