Route description

The trip starts in the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn, from where you will follow the red trail along the slopes of the Goat Ridges to the top of the Krkonoše Mountains with the Goat Ridges lookout. After a challenging trail, you come to the crossroads Kozí hřbety - lookout, where you turn and continue to the left to look at the lookout at the top of Krakonoš Mountain, which is part of the Goat Ridges. The viewpoint is only 200 m away from the crossroads. From the top there is a beautiful view of the surrounding area, in good weather you can also see Sněžka.

From the viewpoint you continue along the Old Buchar's Path to Renner's Well and the former Renner's Hut, which, like the nearby Luční Hut, burned down, but Renner's Hut was never completed. Then you approach the Luční Bouda, which is one of the highest in the Czech Republic.

After a rest at Luční bouda, you will head towards Výrovka, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Elbe Mine, Svatý Petr, Špindlerův Mlýn and the peaks of the surrounding mountains. You continue along the green trail, near which you pass the Červenka Mound and the Grouse Waterfall until you reach Svatý Petr, from where it is only a short walk to the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn, where the trail began.

This trail is challenging, not really suitable for small children.

Important information

Luční bouda is located in the first zone of the Krkonoše National Park, just 4 km from the top of Sněžka.
