Route description
The circuit starts in the town park near the statue of the Spindleruv Mlynar.
From the miller, head left downstream along the Elbe River to the White Arch Bridge, which is the dominant feature and symbol of Špindlerův Mlýn.
Cross the White Bridge and the main road to the post office (yellow building) and continue following the red markings towards Svatý Petr.
Opposite the Municipal Office, cross the small bridge to the Czech Pub and continue upstream of the Dolský Brook. On your right in the forest you can see the torso of the water dam that once powered the Špindlerův Mlýn hydroelectric power station.
You pass the monument on Věř's path, commemorating the execution of 23 men - German residents and businessmen of the original Špindlerův Mlýn - between 15 May and 22 June 1945.
Then you go up to the ticket office of the Ski Resort, cross the road and follow the red sign up the forest path to the former Hotel Barbora. From the Barbora Apartments you climb right past the Spindleruv Mlyn schools up a steep hill to the Biskupská vyhlídka, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of Spindleruv Mlyn and Medvědín.
To the right of the viewpoint you continue downhill past the new apart-hotel Palace - Radost and continue to St. Peter's Church. From the church, follow the red markings to the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn across the White Bridge to the miller's statue, where the miller's wheel ends.
