Fishing

The Labská reservoir is stocked with a rich population of rainbow trout, brook trout and whitefish, many of which have successfully become feral and acclimatised to local conditions. Thanks to frequent stocking, all anglers, not only specialists in domesticated and natural food fish, will find something to enjoy. You'll have a great time fishing with floating line and glass buzzers when static fishing, as well as sinking line in three feet of water and stripers. Fish are often picked up from the surface, so there is no shortage of thrilling fishing when fly fishing with thin line and faithful imitations of hatching insects.

The area of the Labská reservoir:
With a total area of 26 hectares, the Elbe Reservoir is one of the largest trout fisheries. The maximum depth of over 40 m can give many surprises in the form of large fish moving over the old river bed. On the other hand, the upper part of the tributary, which is still protected, is much shallower and forms a natural reserve and fish spawning ground. In the past, large grayling over half a metre long have been caught here. This section is open during the summer.

Fishing is only allowed:
with a valid Fishing Permit issued by the RSŠM
in section "A" of the area marked on the map - bounded by signs and buoys at the dam
from the shore and from belly boats
from 16 April to 30 November

Fishing without a permit is strictly forbidden under threat of a heavy fine. The region is under constant surveillance from poachers.
