The Cold War Museum under the HARMONY CLUB hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn. 

 

This unique shelter, which was to serve the government of the then Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, began to be built in the 80s of the last century. The strategic selection of the site was conducted by the State Planning Commission in cooperation with the leadership of the Warsaw Pact.

 

In 1984, a unique building began to be built on the premises of a former military training range, on the slope of Medvědín - a fallout shelter for 200 people. The shelter was designed as a "government workplace during the military readiness of the state". Shelter in today's Harmony Club Hotel. Below the building is a large underground labyrinth. The hotel included a giant underground shelter for the General Staff of the then army. It was one of the most secret projects in our country.

 

This unique space will open its secrets to you and you will be chilled by the recent history.

 

The tour lasts about 40 minutes. Only 30 min walk / 1.2 km from the center.
