Detailed route description:
You start this typical winter Krkonoše journey at the bus station in Špindlerův Mlýn. On the regular line Špindlerův Mlýn - Špindlerova Bouda you get on a bus that runs regularly to Špindlerův Mlýn.

The journey starts right at Špindlerův Bouda. From the car park in Špindlerův Bouda, turn left onto the red road towards Petrova Bouda and then to Moravská Bouda. At the Pod Petrovovou boudou sign, take the green towards Moravská bouda and Dvořákova bouda.

If you do this route in summer, on this route you will see the 800 m long animal trail near Moravská bouda. This project of the administration of the Krkonoše National Park tries to bring tourists closer to the Krkonoše animal in the form of beautiful, hand-carved wooden sculptures of life-size animals. All sculptures are made of oak.

In Moravská Bouda, we strongly recommend a stop for a snack or, even better, a late lunch. The local cuisine is truly a luxury and affordable!
Moravská bouda will pleasantly surprise you with a great gourmet experience in the form of typical Krkonoše recipes and dishes. The restaurant has a children's corner and WiFi. Very pleasant environment, good cuisine, helpful staff, friendly and professional approach.

You also have a sledge or cross-country ski with you! After a hearty meal, drive down! Now you can enjoy almost 3.5 km of fun downhill!

As soon as you leave the forest below Moravská bouda, you are in Sedmidolí. From here you have a wonderful view of the panoramas of the Giant Mountains, Sedmidolí, Kozí hřbety and the Špindlerův Mlýn valley.
You are in paradise!

You pass the apartment house of Davidovy boudy and enter the forest. Notice how nature changes as you descend into the valley. Be careful here - 1 km below Davidovky your route will cross the road. There is a risk of collision with a car. There is also a bus stop on the regular line Špindlerův Mlýn - Špindlerovka (Davidovky stop) on the street. You cross the street carefully and continue on the last descent for 1 km towards Dívčí lávka, where there is another bus stop to Špindlerův Mlýn. Take the bus back to Špindlerův Mlýn.

However, we recommend that you go back to Špindlerův Mlýn on foot or by cross-country skiing. You cross the street and drive past the Myslivna restaurant over the confluence of the Labe and Bílý Labe rivers. After the bridge, turn left and after 1 km take a pleasant walk to pass the Medvědín cable car. We recommend a stop in Srub pod Medvědínem. After such a challenging winter hike, you deserve luxury local specialties and something to warm you up!

Did this winter trip around the giant mountains make you happy? We believe it. If your friends are interested in where they want to go in winter, you now have a clear tip for them: for a winter excursion to the Giant Mountains by sledge or cross-country skis to Moravská bouda!

We recommend that you repeat this trip in the summer! What do you think? Instructions can be found HERE
